Pro-life and Pro-Death Row...

Pro life and Pro Death Row
So explain to me
Not with loopholes
Or fine print
The way we go about it
-Tonauac

I am outrage at the melancholies of rationed days and time, that only allow for sets of “oooh’s and aaahs” to corrode what makes our hearts implode.

Count your sorrows and a better, different tomorrow, gets reduced to another excuse of not handling your day. Get paid.

Q: Are they really saying what I think they’re saying?

A: YES MAN! They are! Now what? What are you gonna do about it?

Is it too late in the game to question the strategies of winning and pinning the loss of life on someone else?

I’m not hater. I’m a player that has grown familiar to the hate.

I know this game.

So why am I going to negotiate words, thoughts, and intentions, when it reeks like genocide-“a genocidal plot” is the thing that continues to reassure the re-birth of this great nation. This is not population control

(Check out the Too Many Aborted Campaign for more details on the intentions behind these ads and the collusive methods through which communities are pinned against each other)

Though we know nation-building methods have strategically and subversively damage our families in years past, this is intimidation. This is not about procreation. It is about choice. Who get’s to have a choice, a say, over their own bodies? Whose bodies are not theirs and thus are continuously reminded that they are fodder of the state?

This is not the convergence of the past. It is the reality of the present. Access, agency, and ability, are factors that need to be considerate, first and foremost, of the-emotional, physical, psychological, and spiritual- health of the mother, the realities that these women are living should be primary in any discussion about life, or the loss of life.  As “disproportionate” rates of community misuse weaken our strength inside the belly of the beast, we forget who has to carry the burden of life as our children are raised by the streets(“Save Black Babies” Rep. Moore rips the myth apart).

These pro-life billboards tactically placed in the hoodest of hood corners, are throwing in our face all that we are, all that we know, and saying, “deal with it! you got no reason to have a choice”. Forget the pain of paying bills, of recycling abuse, of a retarded, remedial, and rejecting education system that finds no use for our life, forget the black bodies that are disposed and forgotten to rot in our nations PIC/MIC and skid rows, forget the shackled mothers in death row giving birth to unwanted uses of their bodies, forget that you don’t give a damn if I eat or make enough for my rent. Tell me, show me, you give a damn about life, my life, for the rest of my life and then I’ll give a damn about how pro-life you are.

I get it. Do you?

There are multiple practices of dying in our st’s. Hoodlums, so called gangsters, know exactly what they are doing when they enter “the game” -death is their aim. At least they get a say! Wake up. Our people want to die. This is as real as our people wanting to live.

Yet, we need to understand the severity of searching for death in order to understand the urgency of having reasons to live (and allow personal choice w/ options to also exist).  So what is wrong with having a say over how and when we go within a nation that has led us to believe that we’ve had a choice all along?

humility: 2/11/11

la palabra es humildad
our day culminated with those words
as i’ve seen my father grow into someone who own’s himself
i value my worth

it is his choice of words
every breath he forgives himself to take
unleashes his remorse

i treasure the moments where he uncovers what has been
buried over time
if you met him
you couldn’t imagine that
like me
he also reads thoughts
we choose when we speak of them
without being cunning
because for some the truth is too much

there’s a limit to how much we are pushed
there is a limit to how much we will allow others to undermine
the tribulations it has taken for us to be present in this lifetime

if you knew where i came from
your calendars and sun gods would be put to shame
my ancestors live in my morning reflection
no i ain’t vain
i just don’t live in your pain

i can dodge the darkness
of backwardness
but then i would be worthless

every pyramid
every tomb
every womb
is a reminder of the pillage of savages
is a reminder
my genius survived

this will never be a solo show
in the highest of the high
i am not alone
in the lowest of my low
my spirit will not implore
i will not fall to the floor

so when you get pissed with envy because you think my drive
is only to get mine
i will read you your rights:
you have the right to help me
or get out of the way

i don’t give a damn about your excuses or
what the other fools will say

our people are dying. wake up.
our stories have vanished. wake up.
our sages are expiring.
wake up.

la historia de un corazoncito

la historia de un corazoncito

I hold with compassion
This fragile truth
That even with a fucked up childhood-

I learned to love

decoded
the dissemination
of abuse
and affection-

I learned to love

Y en mi tumba yo dire
Que si he amado

Tu sangre palpita y me da vida
Tu eres la fuente de mi ser
Y aunque a veces me envenenas
Con caprichos aturdidos
Te dejo correr
Pero cuentan que por fin la ciencia
Comprueba
que
the heart breaks as it ache
entonces lo unico que te digo
es que,
si eres de sangre y hueso
No te dejes guey!

Though I can say that in this lifetime I have been blessed to be in love, I am grateful to realize this year that:
i AM LOVE. You are love. We are love.

thank you for existing. as my reflection, i learn love from you.

love yourselves.
